The Zero Telemetry Guarantee

We built Vyrex because we were tired of "optimization" software harvesting our data. Vyrex does not collect telemetry, does not track the games you play, and does not upload your hardware profile to the cloud. What happens on your PC stays on your PC.

1. Data Collection

Vyrex is a locally executed application designed for Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments via .NET 8 Native AOT. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or maintain a persistent internet connection to utilize the core optimization features.

  • Personal Information: We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal identifiers, names, or addresses through the desktop application.
  • Usage Telemetry: We explicitly do not track your app usage, game library, or background processes for analytical or advertising purposes.
  • Hardware IDs (HWID): Your specific hardware configuration is evaluated locally to apply optimal registry and process configurations, but this data is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Local Storage & Configuration

To function effectively, Vyrex must read your system configuration and apply real-time modifications. All state management and backup data are stored strictly on your local machine:

  • Configuration profiles and daily audit logs are saved locally in the %APPDATA%\Vyrex\ directory.
  • Registry backups (created before applying optimizations) are stored locally to ensure you can revert safely at any time.

3. Network Requests

The Vyrex desktop client only makes network requests under two specific conditions:

  • Update Checks: Ping against our public repository/server to notify you if a new version of the software is available.
  • Community Integrations: Optional Discord Rich Presence integration (if enabled by the user).

4. Website Analytics

While the desktop application is telemetry-free, the Vyrex landing website (vyrex.app) may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as counting global download clicks) to help us maintain server stability and gauge product interest. We do not sell this data to third parties.
